GDPR Policy

Under the General Data Protection Regulation which came into force in 2018 , RFS has set out a clear policy on Personal Data Protection. This document is now available on the Society’s website here  2018 GDPR – Policy and Procedures.

The Society retains basic information to receive subscriptions (hopefully gift aided) and provide its ‘services’ to members, primarily events and publications. It does not engage in marketing activities which is the main focus of the Regulation. Without the basic details of name address, email address etc., which you have provided, RFS simply cannot function.

However, RFS must observe the appropriate data security requirements, which it is committed to doing.

Please read the policy on here:  2018 GDPR – Policy and Procedures.  If you have any concerns, please feel free to raise it with the Membership Secretary.

RFS will retain your email address as a website follower, solely for the purposes of operating its website-following arrangements. Your email address will not be used for any other purpose and it will not be made available to any other part of RFS without your express permission. It will be held in a secure file and will be deleted as soon as you cease to be a RFS website follower.
